Opinion and Significance
According to a 2025 excerpt on aidswalkny.org “AIDS Walk New York is the world’s largest and most visible HIV/AIDS fundraising event and is held annually every May in Central Park.” This poster was chosen because of the typographic approach and the detailed word choice, which strives to represent the multi-faceted queer community in NYC.
Other
The poster design was used for the AIDS Walk New York event in years other than 2017 as well. It ran prominently across the city and could be seen in places such as the Subway.
